Default Selling stock Pile on Craig's List

I recently placed an Ad on Craigs list. I got my first intersted buyer today. I'm going to meet her with a few Items after work. I put in my ad that I was only willing to meet in my local area and that I would only take cash. I placed 1 ad on ebay before however I think you loose alot in shipping. Has anyone had success and if so can you tell me what you sold and how much you made?

No, anytime i had placed an ad on there for selling stockpile items my listing would get flagged and removed. Or i would get HATE emails from people asking me to donate it, they didn;t realize that i do donate, but i also would like to make a few extra $ where possible. Especially since we had been broke for the last couple of months on and off, because of DH's job change & mortgage increase.

Just be careful that you don't tell them where you live or how much stockpile you have. And don't meet them alone! Safety first.

No craigs list here.

If you try ebay....I'd start small....look at the flat rate boxes...you can put really heavy stuff in there and it's all the same price.

good luck!

I hear Ya, My Hubby is going with me and I'm meeting a lady @ her Employment. I feel safe about it today. I would always meet in a public place. I listed 4 items then when I was speaking to her I told her about a few others so she told me to bring a couple of the additional items as well.

We shall see...

Wow!!! I really don't understand why people can be so mean. If they don't want to buy what your selling move on. I my self donate a lot of items as well, I most recently started selling them because my mother in law had a tag sale and invited me over. Made $1266 in 2 days however I live in Ma and the weather is not so nice for year round sales so I'm seeking other ways to increase sales. My hubby has been unemployed for over a year and yes he does get unemployment however it's not enough. I coupon to get free to cheap food and I'm looking for creative ways to help fund my daughters dance trips. She has been dancing since she could walk she is 14 and is now dancing in 2 dance companies. I probaly will not always sell my stock pile, however it is what I need to do now to be able to give my daughter all the opurtunity's she has to further herself. I encourage all you other couponers out there not to let anyone make you feel bad for trying to get ahead.

I have posted on CL a couple of times and had no luck. I do really well at my yard sales though...so I have decided to just do 2 sales a year and call it good.

Good luck to you...can't wait to hear how it turns out.

I think where the real money would be is by being a shopping service for someone (or several someones) who couldn't/won't shop for themselves and dividing the coupon savings somehow....

Ya I love the idea of the Tag sale it's just hard during the cold seasons. I was scared so stockpile food because of expirations dates. My aunt actually just bought a lot of food items from me I made $75 last week because I was able to clear the shelves of all the snack bars I knew we wouldn't eat. It also helps the elderly people she sells them too. She sold them @ her senior center.

I am not sure about out right selling my stockpile items on CL but I do post my sales on there and it brings a ton of people. I would think you would do well on there. I do agree as to meeting in a public space. I do some selling on CL with kid items and always make sure I am in public or have my husband with me. Good Luck!!
