Re: Selling on craiglist
I just ignore any spam emails. I can usually tell a scammer right off the bat, so ignore them too. That's about all you can do. In one that we listed a phone number (sometimes we do, sometimes we don't) I even got an obscene snotball call me. He was rude and demanded the emblem come with the car (didn't even have one and none was in the picture nor mentioned) what he was going to pay (much less than asked) and degraded into swearing at me. I swore right back and hung up on his a$$. lol
You just have to have a strong mind and not let it get to you. We've met some really cool people through selling and buying on CL. And like you said, there's some real morons, too. If it gets too bad, you can report abuse to their ISP (if by email) or the police if they're harassing you by phone. Otherwise, about all you can do is ignore and delete.

Re: Selling on craiglist
I can also tell if it's a scammer, I sell stuff on Craigslist and I do it for my mom, brother been doing it for a long time. So I know wich emails are good, what I do is on my post I will put LMK what your address is, pick up only, will not ship or "no scammers I don't have time for idiots" to me if it just says do you still have the item I don't responed because that's usually always a scam. Just ignore them

Re: Selling on craiglist
have you tried the consignment shops or yard sale, you might find a buyer.Turns out the person who contacted me about my listing was a jerk made a deal to make the purchase in a well lit public area the pyscho never shows(at this point I'm counting my blessings)Back in the closet it goes I guess

Re: Selling on craiglist
A few weeks ago, I sold a mattress on Craigslist. I didn't get any spammers. Just one girl who ended up coming to see it, but not buying it. And then another who was also interested and did end up buying it when the other girl declined. It was a fast and easy transaction for me. And she came with cash.
