Default Kids' clothes (and garage sales)

I love that people post their garage sales on craigslist. LOVE it.

But I wish they'd tell me if they have size 3T GIRLS CLOTHES.

I need clothes for the lil porker (who is 18 months and needs 3T!!!), don't want to pay $2.50 per garment at OUAC, and can't afford to drive all over the twin cities metro area scouting out people's garages.

One of the ads looked PERFECT. But the sale is 37 miles away...

Do I or don't I?

I think "don't". DH would kill me if I spent that much gas. For a garage sale. And if I didn't come home with the goods...

Anyway. I'm feeling lazy. I wish everyone freecycled and that by some miracle my daughter's summer wardrobe would fall into my lap.

Can't you contact posters on craigslist and ask what sizes they have?

I do lots of consignment sales and consignment stores here in NC.

Possibly. But a lot of people don't break it down that way.

I lucked out. ECFE had a HUGE sale in a local community center, and I got there in time to scoop up some clothes. I also bought a train table for $10, which resulted in DH giving me a 30 minute lecture.

But my boys LOVE it. :)

I was going to suggest the same thing but I didn't realize you couldn't email all posters....interesting.
