    QUESTION Freecycle?

I posted an item on Freecycle yesterday morning. I replied to one of the responses yesterday afternoon. As of this morning, they still have not responded to my email, so I emailed again asking if they still wanted the item. What would be the appropriate amount of time to wait for them to respond?

I only ask because we have received about 20 emails from others wanting it. I would like to let them know that the item has been spoken for or offer it to someone else if they aren't interested anymore.

    TIA

I think it depends. If you are really wanting the item gone ASAP - then go on to the next person.

It sounds like you have given the person enough time...I would personally say move on down the list...

I usually wait about 24 hours, assuming that most people will check their e-mail once a day.

Since it's been about 24 hours, and you have so many interested people, I wouldn't feel bad about offering your item to someone else.
