You can find locations on where to recycle items in your area. The GMA segment also had many great suggestions and tips on recycling/reusing slightly used mattresses, carpeting and technotrash. For instance, I can donate my carpeting that I want to rip up and replace to Habitat for Humanity. I thought that was a great tip. Did you know? "Most carpet is made from petroleum, which is a nonrenewable resource. So, you should think about re-using carpet."
