CHAT What steps have you taken to protect your assets?

What strategies have you taken so far? With all the QEs (printing more money by the Feds) going on, it is inevitable for more inflation to set in and we're not getting out of debt but creating more debt

Have y'all invested in silver and gold? physical form as in bullions or in the form of stocks? Are y'all stocking on ammunitions as well? Do you know how to use these ammo, in case you have to?

For those who are out of debt by now (home and all auto paid for), is there less pressure now?

What else should be done to protect our assets?

Outside of our current 401K with my DH company we are not vested in the stock market but in bonds..as IMO the stock market is way too fickle. We rolled our old 401 K's into the bond market looooooooong ago and have done really well since.

And honestly for ammunition...my FIL died and left an insane amount of ammo and guns at our disposal We won't spend a dime on it though.

We have a very reasonably priced mortgage, and one car is paid for although we will have to replace it soon, it no longer goes in reverse...my DH still is driving it, including driving it back and forth from Arkansas (DH lives in AR where he works) and back to Kansas each week. Our minivan will be paid off in March, and then we will purchase a car, we will have to get a loan, but it will be used car, and we will be looking for a loan with a monthly amount in the $150ish range. We always look for an older vehicle that a grandma/grandpa drove that they barely put any miles on and it has served us very well..then we drive them to the ground.
