Tips: Tips On Where To Find Better Insert Coupons

Wasn't sure where to post this...

Has anyone started up a thread or threads listing states, then newspapers, then inserts that are part of that newspaper?

Too big of an undertaking maybe? Just wondered if something like that might be helpful, especially to the newbies who arrive here. I'd be glad to contribute my meager knowledge of central Illinois to an IL thread.

We move a lot and I have found that the larger cities DO get the better coupons. My parents live in L. A. and sometimes send me their inserts. They are WAY better than the newspaper I subscribe to. Could someone please tell me another way to get the larger dollar inserts? There aren't a whole of papers where I live and the N.Y. Times has NO coupons. Thanks!

Wondering if anyone here in Naples or Fort Myers FL got any. Last week there were none. This week I went to several grocery stores, book stores and gas stations. Not one paper had the inserts. The 2/7 paper was the first one I got since I started and I loved having the inserts to make some sweet deals. Now, I need to find some inserts.

I notice a huge difference in the coupons between the Wichita Eagle and the Kansas City Star. I can usually go to my local recycling center and get the Eagle inserts free, so I rarely even buy it. I'll actually pay for the Star because it usually has anywhere from $20-50 more in coupons per paper, and it's still $2.00 like the Eagle.

I have a few people that are following me know and couponing. I usually get mine from the local gas station and finally found out that a small paper has all the inserts, where as the Naples News does not. Fine with me, cause the smaller paper is $1 and the other is $1.75....I save .75 each.

Today one of the ladies said that the Naples newspaper had all 3 and she got them from Starbucks. The gas stations I stopped at, all the Naples newspapers had only P&G in it.

So just check them out, you never know.

No Redplum in Indy Star this week. Wonder what is going on? I have signed up before to have Redplum/Valassis mailed and never have gotten it. Evansville paper has a scaled down version, doesn't have all the coupons. Don't know what to do? Any suggestions?

I'm not really sure if I am posting in the right area and I apologize in advance , does anyone have any suggestions on which is the better deal - buying multiple papers or buying multiple inserts on line and if it is the latter where is the best site to buy them from....

this will depend on how much you can get your paper for and which supplier you go thru. we have lots of people here that trade inserts part or whole.

i personally find it better to trade or purchase the coupons i want instead of the entire insert. i can supplement what i want with printables or with small trades.
