Tips: Tips On Where To Find Better Insert Coupons

I just learned that my local grocery store carries Big Red Soda, last weeks Sunday paper had a coupon for it and I asked my friend and she is like oh they carry that at the store.. And we live in Wisconsin!

Here's a tip that I use. Make friends with your local convenience store managers. I did and now she lets me get just the coupons out of the leftover Sunday papers before the carrier picks up the actual papers for their credit. Sometimes I can get quite a few, sometimes none. But it's worth it to ask. Also, I have my parents save me theirs and a local laundramat that gets their paper at home and their business. Once a week, I go and pick up inserts from whoever will give them to me! It helps a lot to be able to get the "good" coupons! Just thought I would share!

I'll be in the Trenton, NJ area on Sunday. What paper should I buy for the SS/RP coupons? Trentonian? Trenton Times? Philadelphia Inquirer? Does the Star-Ledger get down there?

Here's a great idea if you're looking for a way to get MORE insert coupons... and the bonus: it's for a great cause!

During the summers I volunteer at my local animal shelter. One of the jobs I get to do is to sort/unfold newspapers. They use the papers to line the kennels for the dogs and cats there, and they go through A TON each day. So I get to go through the papers and unfold them for easy pick-up. Here's the awesome part: they can't use ads or inserts (they are too slippery, don't absorb well, etc.) so the inserts get thrown in the trash.

I must have spent HOURS doing this job last summer, and that was before I started couponing, and now I'm cringing at the thought of all those inserts going to waste. So if you love animals, and you love coupons, this would be a great job for you!

In the Sacramento/Tahoe area, the best newspaper I have found so far for inserts is the "San Fransisco Chronicle". HTH someone.

I agree with you. The best paper that I have found was the SF Chronicle. I have tried so many others in my area and the coupons are really bad. I love getting the SF early edition on Saturday as well because all the same coupons are in is as the Sunday paper.

For the past 5 months or so, we mysteriously and to my delight started recieving the coupon inserts along with a small local paper delivered on our lawns every Wednesday. (Our whole neighborhood). I have been LOVING it! But they didn't come last week and I'm scared they may not come this week. Anyone else have experience with this??
