A .50 coupon is worth 1.50 but a .55 coupon is just worth .55. So the only good coupons to use are less than or equal to .50?

Would this scenario work?

9.00 (2) Crystal Light
1.20 (6) packets Kool Aid
4.50 (3) Nesquik single serve milk
14.70 total
-9.00 (2) Free CL wyb 3 Kraft
-4.50 (3) .50 off Nesquik (tripled)
1.20 + tax for oop total

I remember this tip from the last time we had triples: give them the highest value Q's first (i.e. .50) to ensure that they get tripled, then on down the line in value. Also, look for any Free coupons (even if you wouldn't normally buy the product) to help get your total $$ up. Last time there were Qs for free dog treats that I used to get my total order up and I gave them to my neighbor (I don't have a dog), thus allowing me to get more Q's tripled.

Other than that, I don't see too much, if anything else, from the ad. Maybe others will see things in the store that when tripled will be worth the trip.

i think alot of the cleaning products are still a good deal, even if not on sale, like the mr.clean erasers and pourable. many of the lysol products,too. At 1.50 off i stock up.

Be careful to make sure the cashier triples the coupons manually! I did not know I had to do this and last night I made a quick trip. Used 6 coupons that would have tripled but only got doubles for them. Of course I realize too now that I didn't have $20 worth of stuff so only the 1st 3 would have tripled anyway. The cashier used some cats that were laying there and that really made up for it so I'm not going back or anything. I just will plan more carefully for my next trips and make sure he does the triple thing!
BTW, I do think it's not cool of them that it doesn't happen automatically. If they are going to advertise triples I don't understand why the computers are not programmd that way. It almost seems they are hoping that some customers will just not realize that they have to ask for it so won't get the triples deal.

Does anybody know how it works during 'triples' when you have rainchecks ??
I'm assuming that you would still be able to use them AND the coupons. Might be the best time to use some of those rainchecks to either get the totals UP or to get the coupons tripled for items that were on sale at better prices than they are now.
