Hy-Vee Catalinas 2008 - 2010

Got a catalina today for $1/1 Birdseye steam fresh veggies.
I bought 3 of the Green Giant Valley Steamers on sale for 3/$5 this week so I am sure this is what triggered it.

Glade Scented Oil warmers are printing out the 2.00 cat wyb 1. At my Hyvee they were 3.98 each, free with the 4.00/1 coupon!! Out came the 2.00 cat for every 1 I bought.

OK, so I did this deal using the Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupons. They were $3.98 , so I figure with the free coupon they are $2 each, then get the $2 catalina for each one so you could say they are free. I got 10 of them yesterday and sure enough, 10 $2 catalinas printed. Well, first thing, the cashier wadded the string of coupons up and tossed them into her waste basket :shrug7:. I said I wanted them, they printed for my purchases and it was $20!!!! I went in today and had over $50 in purchases. I handed the catalinas over. The register took ONE, then wouldn't take anymore. Cashier hands them back to me. I said I wanted to use them all. Got the store manager involved and he finally just took them off as "store coupons"--pushing them through. I said they could have voided my whole order and rang things up in $2 purchases so I could use them. What a hassle--it still irks me when a company will issue multiples of a catalina in a single order and them limit the use of them.:frown:

Has anyone tried to see if they get the $2 Catalina from buying the gel warmers? My other stores give the $2 Catalina from both the oil warmers and the gel warmers. I tried the gel warmers at my HyVee the other day and didn't get a Catalina but maybe I was too early or the machine wasn't working.

I can confirm this works, did it this afternoon, used 3 bogo gel warmer q's so 6 gel warmers @ 1.99 each and got 12$ in cats back. I plan on using these for the ebags P&G promo before it expires on the 30th~

That's what happened at dillons, i had a ton of the cats, and the cashier had to hit a button for everyone to take the amount off, but they didn't have any problems doing it though.

Hi- I'm a newbie, but have been doing deals at WAGS mostly. The catalinas are good on your next purchase right? Not a specific coupon right? And what is the ebags promo?

I just did this same deal at Dillons on Tuesday night and had a blast doing it. Hy-Vee is so much closer though. lol

I also did this today- bought the gel warmers, my store had them for 1.76, and got a $2 catalina for each one- MM! And on top of that- they qualified for Upromise:) Only thing better would have been coupons
