Help??? I just moved to Iowa from NH and sad to say am very disappointed as far as couponing goes. I used to get such amazing deals and was able to stockpile but I can't seem to get into it here. Can someone please tell me of any grocery stores that double mf coupons? I had a girl tell em that Hy-Vee did and I went with that expectation and the store in Souix City did not? I would greatly appreciate any and all help I can get! Thanks so much in advance!

Welcome to Iowa :) Its not *that* bad here, couponing-wise......yes, this is the land of no doubles, but there are always deals to be had, you just need to know how to find them. Join the IGDA (Iowa Good Deal Alert)Yahoo group; I believe there are some gals down in the Sioux City area. They will be a nice resource for your local store-specific deals.

Hyvee has a weekly/paper ad and then an online ad; both can be found on their website (new ad comes out Wed). Penny Pinchin Mom (blog) does a great coupon match-up each week. Hyvee almost always has a special one day sale towards the end of the week with some nice loss leaders to get you in the door. Sign up for Hyvee's WowNow text messages.....they send out a special code usually Friday morning for a very good deal that you can only get that day from 4-8 when you show the cashier the code they sent you :)

Fareway is a smaller grocery chain and they price-match Hyvee's prices. They usually take Hyvee's ad and just adjust the prices themselves (you will see the same prices in the store already), but if you see something they missed they will adjust no problem. I like Fareway, but they are closed Sundays.

Of course, there are Walgreens, CVS's, Targets, Kmart, Walmart's here too. I found that when I started couponing, I started to frequent those store more than I used to, esp. for toiletries.

Thank you Fawnda! I appreciate the feedback. I did sign up for the Hyvee nowwow text alerts! I will look for the yahoo group if I can find it, as it would be a great help for sure! I am about 40 miles from Sioux City.

Hey, I didn't know there are Cvs's out here???? I am now going to have to do some research for where the nearest one is for me! I thought I was lost to them. I do go to Walgreens but every time I go the shelves are cleared and that is frustrating. I haven't done anything with K'Mart as I can't seem to wrap my head around it.

I am having a difficult time getting any amount of coupons too, I usually end up with only one or two inserts. I take the tearpad q's when I see them though. Starting over is sooo hard!
