Is it just me or has Hy-Vee been kind of disappointing lately? I suppose the lack of posts in here kinda indicates that, huh?

Yes it has been disappointing. Nothing has jumped out lately. Fareway has somewhat been the same.

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by this, but my best friend who is lactose intolerant can eat it. I have some in the freezer upstairs, so I can go grab one if that's not the info you're looking for.

I just remember the one time they had a similar sale
and the 'cheese' wasn't really cheese.

So if you don't mind telling me the ingredients.
If it's too much trouble, don't concern yourself too much with it.

I guess I didn't have as much Hy-Vee brand cheese as I thought I did, but I am holding a Hy-Vee Mexican and a Hy-Vee Parmesan here.

The Mexican says: Monterey Jack cheese (pasturized milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes), Cheddar cheese (pasturized milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes, annato color), Queso Quesadilla cheese (pasturized milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes, vinegar), asadero cheese (pasturized milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes, lactic acid), anticaking agent (potato starch, corn starch, powdered cellulose), natamycin (natural mold inhibitor)

The parmesan says: parmesan cheese (pasturized part-skim milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes), anticaking agent (see above), natamycin (see above).

I agree, both are slow right now...but if I remember right, last year in March, things reeeeallly picked up and I got a lot of hot deals. So I guess we'll just take this time as a sort of "hiatus" from the deals and prep ourselves for what will hopefull be "March Madness"
