I went to the new Hyvee on Wed and it was still packed! I didn't really get a good chance to look around, but it seemed to have a larger variety of items than either Kroger or Schnuck's carries. There are so many options for grocery shopping in that area now!

I went on Sunday and it was pretty busy. I bought only the specials (strawberries, cottage cheese, hamburger buns & blueberries). I'm not sure I'll take advantage of the prescription transfer coupon - my script there costs $35, whereas if I fill it at Kroger, it's $21. Maybe...
The Peoria store won't double coupons, so I think this'll probably be a loss leader only shopping stop. They're going to have to offer some reeeaally good deals to entice me into their store when I have Kroger & Schnucks right there.

Hey, ladies, if you get any store special alerts for Kroger & Schnucks, like if they're running a special sale or something, can you post it in the appropriate forums? I only get the Peoria Journal Star Sunday edition and NO local papers here (Eureka) will carry any ads for the Peoria area.
I'll keep checking out Hy-Vee, but next time I'll leave my son at home - spent too much time trying to keep him from hopping & swinging his limbs about. Argh.

I 've been 4 time one of those times was for trying their hot food bar .It was good and not badly priced for Chinese.

I have been getting the Tombstone pizza for 99 cents (hence the reason for multiple trips )
    Miracle Whip for .48 cents
    Cheerios also .48 cents
Plus all the other deals .
I do like them ,they have a lot of products and its cleaner than the nearby Kroger (I prefer the one on Knoxville)
