Funstuff Re: Hy-Vee freezer coupons: YMMV on using matchups

Okay, It took me 2 trips to "buy" everything. I plan on giving a bunch of this stuff away, and I did give a few coupons away for things we wouldn't touch, but I wanted to see just how many of these coupons were "worth it."

I had my matchups ready to go and at one store I had no trouble because I handed them the manufacturers Q's before the store Q's. THEN...WHAT A MESSSSSS!! He had to search the register and price check everything to find out the retail price to put the coupon in.

The 2nd store I went to they rang the item and THEN the coupon and the cashier was a little more observant and kept handing me back the manufacturer's coupons saying... you can use this next time, it was already free.

Oh well, I'm not complaining, just warning you that your mileage my vary! :shrug7:

When I purchased my freezer, the manager told me it would help them greatly if I could put the coupons with each product as they are scanning them in, because they have to enter the prices in manually.

When I used a bunch of my Qs yesterday, I was contemplating taping each coupon to each product, but instead, when I was checking out, I tried to place all of my non free items on the belt first and then all of the free items with the corresponding Q sitting on top of each item. I also wrote out the shelf price of each item right on each Q to help the cashier. When the cashier wash finished ringing in everything, then I handed her my MQs. She took them no problem.

I didn't have any problems using my ManQs either. It was awesome. I still have two of the HyVee Qs left, because they were oos. I also have a few of the manQs left that came with it.

In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.
