Thanks for letting us know. OK now do not laugh. I have some serious questions, ha ha.

We do not like seafood here but are trying to participate in lent. SO what does this taste like ? How would you prepare it ? Do you cook it alone or would you add it to something ?

It's hard to describe the taste other than it sort of tasts like crab/lobster - sort of like sweet fish (that just sounded gross describing it - LOL - but I really do like it). You don't cook it, just use it in recipes. The only way I've had it is in appetizers.

I use it in summer rolls (sushi), seafood enchiladas, and artichoke/seafood dip (the red lobster copycat one), some people mix it w/ mayo and do lobster or crab rolls. it is fairly mild flavored- I'd say get a couple pks. (while it's free) & try it, that way you aren't out any oop for it. you can find tons of recipes that use imitation crab on all recipes. com- just type in the ingredient you want to use. hth

I <3 the crab; I can just eat it plain straight out of the package. My mom likes to make a pasta dish with it and lots of garlic, peppers, broccoli and other veggies. O and she made a pizza with it on there as a topping and my hubby loved it! I'm planning on making some type of crab cake with it. Haven't made up a recipe yet, if I do I'll type it up here.

I also use it for crab cakes- but I cheat and use the Zatarins crab cake mix ( i get it at target)
