    QUESTION Anyone seen these signs?

I have not personally seen them at the Keokuk HyVee. But my mom says she saw at I *think* one of the Quincy HyVees that they are going to give $2500 rewards for bringing down fraudulent coupons. And she also said something about if you used a fraudulent coupon what would happen but I dunno if that was just a cashier that said that or if it was posted. So what do yall think? I think it's great that they're trying to thwart scammers and reward people for doing it. Might give people an incentive to turn the tricksters in!

I haven't seen these signs, but I believe it.

I just moved to Iowa City from South Dakota. I never had a problem using coupons at the Hy-vee in Brookings, South Dakota. Today I went to the Hy-vee located on Lower Muscatine or something like that, I believe (across from Walgreens). I wanted to use a coupon for a free box of post honey bunches of oats pecan that I was able to print today in accordance with the post in the printable coupons section of HCW. The manager came over after some time and informed me that they no longer accept printable coupons for free products. I was fine with this and simply told him that I no longer wanted the cereal. Out of curiosity I inquired how long this had been their policy regarding printed free product coupons (since I just moved to the area..figured it had maybe been their policy all along). He snottily told me "since they've been coming back fraudulent." :shrug7:

O yes that is indeed their policy. I *think* it was posted on here awhile back maybe a month ago? So a new policy. I have to ask before I use a REGULAR free coupon I've been sent in the mail because the way the stupid policy is worded, if the employees just glanced over it (which not to dis my lovely HyVee employees because I like them all, but from talking to them about it, I'm sure they did just that lol) it appears that ALL free coupons are no longer accepted.

They DO take homemailer, insert, etc. FREE coupons. If you want to use say a homemailer coupon (ya know the ones printed on a piece of paper so they look JUST like a frackin printable???) keep it on the original paper they sent to you and don't cut it out. If you want to use it before you start shopping just make a quick stop by the CS desk and ask if it's ok to use your q. I just explained what mine was and that it was not a printable and pointed out the section in the coupon policy that made it ok and they take mine just fine. But I have a great HyVee with friendly employees so your experience may vary
