 Re: What day does your ad start?
Oooh, this is a touchy subject for me. We are back to a Sunday start (Faribault, MN), but have been all over the map this year.
*Warning, rant begins now...
We were always a Sunday start and the Saturday shopper always carried the ads for the 4 local (within 15 miles) grocery stores. Then one day, earlier this year, the Hy-Vee ad wasn't in the shopper. I called to ask and was told that they would be shifting to a Tuesday start to move into line with the majority of Hy-Vee stores. It was a major paradigm shift for me, but I was willing to work with it. Then one day (again with no warning) they were magically back to the Sunday start, but the online enhanced ad would not let me view until Tuesday, 3 days into our sale, grrr! After a few weeks I just began to ask them to honor the ad sale prices that were still posted on Sunday and Monday from the old week, Soon they were back to posting the online ad on Sunday.
Now tonight, I can't even view either of the ads on the Hy-Vee site. I hope it is just a technical glitch and not another change coming.

I suspect their sales fell when they stopped distributing their ad in the Saturday Shopper and that is why they went back to the old schedule, but that is just a guess. All the other local stores run a Sun-Sat sale schedule, so it is nice that they are back in line with the other stores' cycles.
