Default Re: Can you do it?

I don't have a problem with laundry, as every member of my family folds their own clothes. I taught my daughter how to fold when she was 5 years old and she's been doing it ever since.

That's an even neater trick.

Default Re: Can you do it?

My first job ever was working at JCP in the catalog dept. It was my job to repackage open stuff to put back on the sales floor after someone returned it. I can fold a fitted sheet and get it back in the package.......The trick is to lay it out on a big table or on a bed or even the floor (if its clean)....to fold it by yourself in the air is next to impossible!

Now, if I could only learn how to fold a fitted sheet w/o wanting to scream & rip it to shreds-lol!

Default Adding vinegar to laundry?

How do you do this? Do you just add it with the laundry and regular detergent? If so, how much do you add for a full load? Or do you add it to the rinse cycle? And if so, how much?

I'm not sure if it's our hard water or what, but my dish rags and bath towels SMELL after getting wet. They smell fine after being washed and dried of course, but once they're wet again, they STINK! I've tried bleaching some dish rags thinking that would solve the problem and it helped a little but not much. Any other ideas? Do you think Borax would solve the problem? I've heard good things about vinegar and have plenty, but just don't know how much to add and when to add it. Thanks!!

Not sure on vinegar for the smell but I know it is suppose to work for black clothes. You know how black jeans always fade so fast, if you put vinegar in the first time you wash them it is suppose to help for that. I have always wanted to do it but I forget.

I tried microwaving them when they were wet then hang them to dry. It helped. Now I'm using microfibre rags. Never happened again.
