try squirting wome WD40 in there too. It will help lubricate the card and move it along. My mother has been through about 5 shredders in 2 years. The manager at the store told her she needs to lube it more often.

They do sell lubricated paper to run through your shredder. If it is just WD-40 type lube, I don't know why you couldn't spray a paper and run it through periodically. Personally, I wouldn't use the veggie oil if the WD-40 would work.

BTW Kristen...my DH did the same thing as yours...I was in the den too and heard the shredder 'complaining' about the workload...I hollered for him to turn it off just before it got jammed. Just lucky!! I also saw a 'junk mail shredder' on BF http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/st...oductId=155701

Maybe Santa will bring one for your DH.

    Default Reminder program

I've got a reminder program on my computer that I love! You type in anything you want to be reminded of...pick a date then pick if you want to be reminded daily, weekly, monthly and so on. Everytime you turn the computer on it will have the reminders for that day or you just click the reminder check icon on your desktop . Here's the link to it if anyone is interested in it....

Default How to protect electronics at the beach

I found this article at yahoo.com:

How to protect electronics at the beach

and my first thought was, why spend money on plastic cases that may or may not hold the device you want to protect, and that you may only use once or twice before you have a new device next year and need a new case to fit it!

So here's my tight-wad tip: Zipper storage bags! You can keep out sand and water, and still push button easily, you can even take pictures as long as the bag is new and not scratched, wrinkled, or too thick.

They come in all sizes, from gallong size to snack size for small MP3's.

As long as your bag is big enough, and your device isn't too heavy, it'll even float if you keep a little air in the bag.

If you have to use a plug, just push the zipper right up to the cord, and it'll still protect your device.

They're also reusable, easily replaced, and available everywhere!

Default Ad pictures too small/big to read?

Did you know that you can zoom in and out with Internet Explorer 7? In the lower right hand corner is a magnifying glass. If you click on the little down arrow next to it, you get options for setting the zoom level. Great for making the picture a little bigger to read it more easily or for making the picture a little smaller so it all fits on your screen. The shortcut keys are ctrl plus (hold ctrl key and hit + key) to make the webpage bigger and ctrl minus (hold ctrl key and hit - key) to make it smaller.

Thanks! That works great for those emailed pics that come out huge, too.

    Questions bout electronics, pc things...

I am not a gadget guru by no means, I have already blown up one pc this past year and it sounds like I am blowing this one up now. How do I safely clean the tower to free it from cat hair and other dirt? Also my cradle on my ink jet printer keeps sticking, is there something I can do about that?
