LOL - I told DH they could repackage the product under an additional label and sell it as a stain remover!

Thank you so much for this post!!! I have alcohol in a spray bottle that I use in my bathroom to sterilize my makeup brushes. One of my friend brought her daughter over 6 months ago and she drew a big circle on the wall in the hallway with a Sharpie... all this time I thought I would be paying to repaint the walls when I move out, and because you mentioned that alcohol works on Sharpie messes, I tried it, viola!!! Gone!! It also worked on hair dye stains on the door of my bathroom... thank you so much!!!

That's like Kool-Aid is a great dye for natural fibers (wool, hair, etc)...they won't put that on the package either.

Dirt in knife marks on counter?

HELP! This is an apartment and I want to move out of here, next year, with as little damage as possible. I wasn't the one responsible for the marks, this pace was not turned very well before I moved in. Management has changed about 3 times since I have been here and I'm not certain they will have any idea that this place was not worked on very well.

What can I use to get the dirt out of the knife marks without using harsh chemicals. I have 4 fish tanks and 2 cats here.

I already got the rust stain (my fault) off that counter with toothpaste and elbow grease, of all things! :shrug7: But the toothpaste just isn't getting into the knife marks. Do I need to use a whitening variety? I'm not worried about the cats licking the toothpaste because they don't have access to the kitchen, ever. (counter top jumpers)
