Cool - I'll have to try that
I use Arm & Hammer with baking soda toothpaste to clean my glass stovetop and /or stainless steel sink. The abrasive in it scrubs, and leaves my sink minty fresh :)
Wow, I'll definitely try that! Thanks!!

To clean toilet put a couple efferdent tablets in toilet, let soke over night.
Also pour bleach in toilet let sit for awhile. (not with efferdent)
To clean shower doors, pull them off and put in tub, dirty side facing you spray with hot water then spray with cleaner comes spotless. Like they are brand new again. Might need to wipe off a little.
Don't forget the almight, Magic Eraser. Works wonders in a filthy tub.
How to get tough stains out of carpet:
Wet spot with carpet cleaner solution, get a wet hand towel place on dirty spot on carpet. Place hot iron on wet towel, let sit for a few seconds. The steam and hot water will bring stain up into wet towel for tough stains you might need to scrub a little but not much. Repeat if need be. If you had the time you could make your whole carpet look and smell brand new again.
Windshield washer fluid works better then window cleaner and its cheaper. Put in a spray bottle and clean windows or mirrors.
Pinesole added to your wash will remove tough oders and stains.
Hand cleaner will also remove tough stains on clothes.
A straight raxor will get a cooktop clean. (Glass Top) No need for exspensive cleaner.
Dawn power dissolver works wonders on all kinds of grim not just dishes.
I second the Dawn power dissolver as a wonder cleaner! My eldest (jr. chemist)explained that it changes the Ph in proteins and breaks their bonds, which is why it works great on the grill, on countertops (I don't know about you, but my kids and DH leave hard chunks of ??? stuck on my counters ALL the time!), elsewhare in kitchen.
I would love to have this stuff analyzed to see if there is a way to make a natural/homemade version because it is expensive.

Hi reviving an old thread!
I'm going to admit something - I am a terrible housecleaner! But my wonderful MIL came and cleaned my house for mothers day and I sort of want to keep it up.
What do you recommend for cleaning the ring around the tub? Someone above said laundry detergent (not liquid but I cant think of the other word?) I will try that. Any other recommendations?

Magic erasers work great! I bought a little squegee that stays in the bathtub and we squegee everythine we get out. Helps cut down on soap scum.
