I'll chime in. White Vinegar. Any Brand. I use it almost exclusively for cleaning now. I put it straight in a spray bottle. Some people water it down. I had bathroom mirror which refused not to streak, no matter what. Until I used straight vinegar. No more streaks. And a hospice worker once told me that it's just about the best thing you can get for killing any kind of germ. I use it on Mirrors, counters, floors (mixed w/ water baking soda & ammonia), and just about everything else.
And supposedly it leaves a residue which bugs hate, so it keeps ants and stuff away. But I can't attest to that. Didn't have ants before.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but in alphabetical order, as it should be.

Default Another use for a swiffer sweeper

Yes swiffer sweepers are great for floors and walls. However did you know they are great for the tub/shower as well? Instead of getting on your hands and knees to clean the tub use a wet wipe for the swiffer sweeper. Just clean the tub the way you usually would but use the swiffer sweeper instead of the rag on your hands and knees. :)

I knew I saved that thing when I quit using it for something. Good ideas! Thank you!

I made rag covers for it though, I wasn't about to buy those pads all the time.

Those are great ideas. I bought the Scuba (which is amazing!) and now I need new ideas for the swiffer

I have been using cascade action pac to clean the toilets when I don't have time to scrub them.
also on ceramic tile, dawn dishsoap works great, after washing with dishsoap I then take newspaper wet with rubbing alcohol and wipe down the tiles and fixtures.

Default My bathtub & shower are squeaky clean - guess how!

It's house-cleaning day and I only had a little bit of Comet left, not enough to clean my whole bathroom. I had a lot of powdered laundry detergent (Arm&Hammer) from a recent stock-up, so I decided to experiment.

I sprinkled the laundry detergent in the tub and wiped it down with a rag. Used that rag to wipe down the walls. The soap scum just disappeared. No scrubbing, just gentle rubbing - and BAM! The tub and shower walls are super sparkly!!

At $1.99 on sale for a big box, it's way cheaper than other powdered cleaners like Comet.

    Happy dance, happy dance!!
