I do not like the concentrated. When I lived on Cape Cod that was pretty much all that was available. I found that I went through it like mad because far more would squeeze out than I needed.
At Dollar Store a while back I noticed a new type of Dawn Dish soap. I smelled it ( I have to smell everything,shampoo,etc..LOL) and I liked it. It was in a bit larger bottle and I thought the price difference made it comparable, so I got it. Well I got it home and noticed in small print it said Non concentrated, so I thought"oops, that's gonna go faster cuz I will have to use more". Well that has not been the case. It is lasting WAY longer and I am using the same "squeeze" amount as I would in the concentrated.
So.... I tried a lil experiment. I took a part empty bottle of concentrated soap and added water to it. After it settled the bubbles went away and it stayed mixed. I use same "squeeze" amount as previously and it works pretty close to as before.
My children also do dishes and neither has noticed a difference.
SOOOO... Which do you prefer?
Which do you think is the better deal?
Does anyone else add water to theirs to make it last longer?

I think concentrated dish soap is a bunch of hooey. I griped about it way back when it first came out. My hubby will squirt the same amount of soap for one dish or to wash his hands as I would for a sink full. If I find a deal on concentrated I always dilute it by 50%. I keep an extra empty bottle under the sink and pour half into it, then fill both with water. I think it is just another way for the company to save on packaging, shipping and product while making the size smaller and making us run out faster.
I would have to agree!!! I think from now on I will be diluting my concentrated dishsoap.
Just imagine the savings just from doing this 1 thing!!!

I will use either or. Concentrated is normally more expensive than non concentrated. The thing is there are more coupons for concentrated making it cheaper then the non concentrated which is why I use the concentrated.
oh wow, i never reallly thought about it like this. I do feel the concentrated suds up better in the sink, or maybe im just missinformed I dunno....lol. I think im going to try to compare and see what its like for me for unconcentrated vs concentrated with water, because if i like it, i will most definetly be adding water to my conentrated from now on!
Thanks!

I haven't really compared the two but I know with Laundry Soap the concentrated stuff just seems like a waste to me.
I agree!
Oh I LOVE the concentrated laundry stuff. I've been using it since before I got the HE washer. I used to use Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day and I still like that. But now I use Method. I love the pump on the top. And with that, my husband doesn't use too much. I worried about the kind where you have to pour it in the cap because for some reason in his mind, more is better.
Years ago when we were using a coin op washer, I noticed that his brightly colored clothes looked very dirty and dingy. And the fabric felt odd. So I watched him do a load. He put in 5, yes 5 capfuls of Tide. I was like... Well no wonder! I had to wash that load 5 times in plain water to get all of the soap out.
