Mr Coffee keurig coffee refills?

I got one of these from DH for Christmas and wondering what everyone uses instead of those expensive Kcups?

My husband and I got a kuering from my parents and they make an adapter for the kuering that you can put grounds in and make a cup of coffee. I am going to be buying one of those myself because the K-cups will get expensive. Although I will by K-cups for my cappuccino. I have seen these at wal mart and K mart. They should work for the Mr. Coffee as well.

My b-i-l got one for Christmas along with the Kcup for using your own coffee. Machine works great with the kcups but apparently it sprays water all over when you use the kcup and your own coffee. They did some research online and found that this is a common problem. People have listed their own resolutions to remedy the spraying.

I'Ve used the adpter and have had no real luck getting a good cup of coffee. I've heard that a lot depends on the grind of your coffee - a smaller grind yields a better cup. To me, it just never tastes as good as the K cups. They are pricey, but my morning coffee is worth it.

Im drinking a nice cup of the hot chocolate right now. I received one as a gift and I have tried it with the grounds, and others are correct..you really never get a really good cup of coffee.
Now I just have to figure out what is the best flavors to make. LOL

OP, you can really find some good deals on the kcups if you have coupons and find them clearanced at your local stores. I found the hot apple cider at my grocery store on clearance and I think I eneded up paying $7.80 for a box of 36. Which isnt bad at all.

I have the adapter and I have not had a problem with making coffee that tastes good, or sprays all over. What I don't like about the adapter is that it is a little mesh screen and you have to clean out all of the coffee grounds. I use my finger and scoop it into the trash as I don't want the grounds going down the drain.

I use instant coffee in the bottom of the coffee cup, and use the Keurig to heat the water for it. If I add a little flavored creamer, it doesn't taste too much like instant.

I do hope K cups drop in price. So many coffee companies are offering the Kcups, so I am hoping!

I bought a reusable cup called the "Eco Cup" from Amazon. It was rated really highly, better than the Keurig brand. I really like it. Fits in there nicely and makes a good cup of coffee.

I also use a reusable cup. I bought it on amazon, its called the solofill. I have never had a problem with it and the coffee tastes just as good to me. I generally just use regular store brand coffee in it. I did end up buying 2 of the solofill cups because if you are brewing 2 cups of coffee it tends to be a little hot when trying to empty the grounds out of it to make the next cup.
