the items might freeze in the cans. i am not for sure if this would be an issue with the items inside.
now glass could crack and explode if frozen. especially when it thaws.
we live upstate ny.we are going to florida for cple monthe,I am bringing some canned good and cleaning..Would i have a problem packing some stuff 3-4 day ahead--would it freeze
would glass jars be a problem?

My parents go to Florida for 3 months every winter and turn off all heat and water in their house here in Kentucky. For any shelf-stable goods (stuff in jars & cans) that they don't take with them, they stack it in the middle of an interior room and layer several blankets/quilts over and around the stack. I know for a fact that it gets below 40 degrees in there while they're gone... and they've never had anything bust or go bad doing it this way! :)
