Have you tried a belt sander?
Okay.... so I had a desk (unfinished wood) and decided it would be a great idea to put bathroom peel and stick flooring on it instead of painting it..... well I don't like it anymore so with relative ease, I was able to get up the laminate flooring.... but the stickiness will not go away. I waited a couple weeks, hoping the glue would dry (it didn't), I tried nail polish remover & rubbing alcohol - neither worked to remove the glue/stickiness. Tried sanding - the sand paper barely moves cause it is so sticky..... how am I ever going to get the glue up - if it were dry, I could scrape it but it's not - it's just a film covering the entire wood... I want to be able to paint it.... I can't get it super wet for fear of warping the wood.... Any ideas?I am thinking the wood might just be ruined.

I don't even know what that is - but it sounds expensive.
I'd probably start with paint thinner and then work with a belt sander

Try Goof Off or GooGone. They've always worked on gunk for me and are available just about anywhere.

I'd use a heat gun and a putty knife to strip it off. You might try a high wattage blow dryer but a heat gun gets really hot and is less than $15 at Harbor Freight. I've used mine mostly to strip paint but it's also good for thawing pipes.
Try some soft scrub. Small amount on a damp scrub sponge. I use it to get the glue from the top of the flooring when we install it and it seeps between the tiles.
I can't remember the name of the product, but I know there is a product that you can get at home depot.. something TAP, I want to say.
It's used to remove the sticky from floors when you pull up tiles, it should remove the sticky and not damage the wood.
My mom used it when she pulled the peel and stick from the wooden floor in her house. Yup, the previous owners put peel and stick over a WOODEN FLOOR!!
