Default Anyone own a Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker

I am considering purchasing one as it sounds really cool....the crock pot of the future. However, I'd like an opinion from someone other than the person trying to sell it to me.

    Anyone have an opinion?
    Thanks!

My sister in law has one and uses it a lot. I have one and use it rarely; in fact I hardly use any of my PC bakeware.

Interesting. This would be my first PC bakeware purchase (if I purchase it)....

i have it, got it when it first came out and i have only used it once. however i will say that when i did use it i liked the fact that i did the meal completely in the microwave with it. i did recently get the deep covered cookbook for it in hopes that i use it more, but i have yet to get it out too.

I love mine..or I should say hubby loves it. He uses it all the time when it is his turn to cook. Makes things alot easier on him plus its simple to use (which he needs, LOL)

There is a cookbook? Hmmm gonna have to look for it.

I've never heard of this dish before- sounds like something my guy friend might like... But I do have 2 questions:
    1) How heavy is the baker by itself?
    2) Does it have a good way of holding on to it for moving it around without spilling or getting too hot on your hands?

My guy friend is in a wheelchair & prefers microwave and crockpot cooking. He's already worn out the large PC micro-cooker and his crockpot takes up TONS of space on his very small countertops... so maybe this would be something that could work well for him! :) TIA!!

it is kind of heavy imo. and there is a large lip around it that makes it easy for handling.
