    Detangling necklaces

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you've ever had a knot in thin chain or necklace, it can be tough getting that undone.

You can use a little baby oil on the necklace where the knot is, and then use a pin to work the knot out. Should help the knot come undone quickly - then clean your chain in your favorite jewelry cleaner to get the baby oil off.

Store them properly and they wont get knotted. LOL

I store my jewelry in the top little drawer of a dresser in ice cube trays. Necklaces will stay tangle free if stored on hooks.

    Default Greasy Hands

    Does DH have greasy hands?

For those who have husbands who work in a greasy garage when it comes time to wash their hands pour a little granulated sugar on their hands. The granulation helps cut the grease and scrub it off. Also helps keeps the skin softer!

As an FYI - most grease, particularly animal grease, won't being breaking down unless the water is 140 degrees.

Need Help removing felt tip marker

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ok, got one for you!!!

DS #2 just got ahold of a Papermate felt tip marker. I'm not sure how he got it from the counter top, but that doesn't really matter because it's a done deal, but I'm thinking ds#1 helped him! DS #1 used to be Picasso on the walls but ds#2 is going to end up with tattoos all over his body, if his obsession with writing on himself doesn't end.

Any clue on what I can use on his leg to remove the writing? I tried baby wipes (which btw usually works on his pen marks) and dish soap and unless I scrub the living heck out of his leg, it's not coming off. I have cleaners coming out my ears here, but I don't really want to use any of it on him!!

    Please help!!!

Try some nail polish remover, and if that doesnt work some soft scrub with bleach (Or comet made into a paste with water) If that doesnt work the best thing I can tell you is that it will eventually wear off.

Similar funny story. My best friends little boy took black marker and drew on/around his pee pee. My friend was astonished and when she asked him why he did it he replyed that he wanted to have hair like daddy. Needless to say she could not get the marker off. Thankfully the only one who saw it outside of the family was the pediatrician. LOL

Thanks Heidi for the other story. I have to go pick up dh at work right now, but at least I'll be ready with a 'it could be worse' story when he sees his legs and freaks out!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. When we got home from picking up dh today, the kids played outside before supper for over an hour, so maybe the sunscreen that I slathered on ds#2's legs helped. After his tubby tonight, I noticed when I was drying him off that it's barely noticeable! It's still there faintly, but I don't think dh did much heavy duty scrubbing. At least he picked a pretty aquamarine blue to create his masterpiece!! LOL
