anyone have any tricks up their sleeves? i've tried warm water, warm water and dish soap, rubbing alcohol, wd40, mineral spirits (or whatever it's called) and they all seem to be taking the shine out of the paint and almost changing the texture of the wall. i need new ideas. i'm desperate!!! also any suggestions on getting pen out of my micro suede couch would be great. i have two very artsy toddlers that, despite all efforts, haven't grasped the concept of paper. :shrug7:
TIA!

Mr Clean Magic Eraser for the crayons on the wall. DS1 loved to draw on the walls when he was younger and the eraser was a lifesaver! One time he drew with markers, after I was finished with the eraser, you could still see some maker lines and the wall was dull looking, so I had to prime & repaint. No ideas on the sofa though.

I agree the Magic Eraser is the best for crayons on the wall. You have to rinse it alot, or it will just spread the color, and yes it did leave the walls looking dull, but I'm waiting for DS to be old enough to NOT color on the walls before I try to repaint!

Magic eraser hands down!
I agree with the Magic Eraser - not sure though if it dulls walls or not

I've never had a prolem w/ it dulling walls, but watch out for formica..it can dull that & leave the area a little lighter...
Magic Eraser works great, but if you don't have any on hand and want to try something else, toothpaste also works. It has to be the white paste, not the gel. Since toothpaste is usually a stocked item and gotten for free, thought you might have some on hand and want to try it. Both the eraser and toothpaste have mild abrasives so you will want to scrub gently whichever you use.

BTW, just found this. The rubbing alcohol can be used for the pen on the micro-suede. Or hand sanitizer can be substituted. Never personally tried this, so YMMV:
