A small thing to be thankful that I have boys... cut their hair short, wash all the laundry in hot water, wash or bag up the 'lovies' and vacuum daily. No chemicals or hours of combing needed!

Another good way to prevent is for girls to wear their hair up and back, and for both boys and girls to wear gel or hair spray. Lice love clean, soft, product-free hair.

Years ago I read about a tip for nausea. This tip has been especially helpful to me on more than one occasion. If you don't have any ginger ale or ginger, hold a newspaper up to your face and keep breathing. Something from the news-print paper and ink calms your the nausea. I laughed about it when I first read it; but then I was glad I remembered it when I needed it. People around me thought I had lost my last marble ---but it worked.

Another tip I have is a money saving one. About 10 years or so ago, my youngest son split open the palm of his hand and broke 2 bones in his hand. His surgeon would wrap his hand in gauze and then wrap Coban (I think that is how it is spelled) over the gauze. It only sticks to itself, it is stretching and great for bandaging hard to bandage areas---and no sticky tape to deal with. Here is the money saving part...............he said instead of buying it in the first aid section buy it from a place that sells equine supplies (we got ours at PetsMart--some of them carry equine supplies). He said it is a LOT cheaper (and it is). It is also available in wider widths (any width can be cut narrower) and it is available in a Rainbow of colors.

But...do not buy it from the cat and dog sections. It also comes in colors there but it is more expensive and less of it. This little tip from Doc has saved me a lot of money on this stuff---and you can have fun with the colors (if you want).
