I'm a homemade kind of girl, so I might give the dry detergent a whirl. I don't think I'd like dealing with the gel kind.

I saw that someone mentioned an organic detergent in some of the older posts. Does anyone know anything about that? I couldn't get the video link to work because it was so old.

In a houseful of toddlers and pets, you can start out having a bad day, but you keep getting detoured.

Fixin' to make up a big batch of powder today. It still comes out way cheaper than anything I can buy, coupons or not.

I LOVE that you said FIXIN'! My hubby tries to tell me all the time that it's not a word, but it IS! Excited to see how the laundry soap comes out--I need to find a recipe that's safe for he washers....

I have an HE washer and make the borax, washing soda, and Fels Naptha goop.

It works beautifully as this is a very low suds detergent.
