    Default Alternative for Glass Magic/Lemishine???

We have really hard water and my glasses and silverware end up with this "film" all over them. I use Jet dry or similar products, but it's not enough. The only thing I've found to work is Glass Magic or Lemishine, both of which are about $4/pkg and NEVER go on sale or have a coupon.

Does anyone have a cheaper alternative?

I've heard of this for cleaning your dishwasher - but never for water spots / film. How do you use this?

I've heard of lemon koolaid- any drink mix with Citric acid works. Also cleans vitreous china (sinks, toilets, etc.) but I've never used it in the Dishwasher. My mom ended up with a bunch of lemonaid drink mix she didn't like, and used it on her sinks. Worked so well it's what she uses now.

I use vinegar. Stright white vinegar put into the Jet Dry dispenser in the dishwasher. Works like a charm. Keeps the film off, and removes the existing film. YMMV depending on your water but ours is pretty hard. Much cheaper than Jet Dry.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but in alphabetical order, as it should be.
