I spray mine. I have the set with snowflakes and peaks in the bundnt cake and sheet cake mil bought off hsn. They stick if I don't spray.
No they don't melt.
I like mine.
I bought the round cake, muffines and mini loaf pans off ebay.
For mothers day, DH and the kids got me a set of pink silicone baking stuff. Muffin thing, loaf thing, etc...
Here's my question...Do I use this stuff just like a regular metal pan? Won;t it melt in the oven? Do I still have to spray it with cooking spray, or use the little cupcake papers?
TIA

I have a pink set and I do not spray mine at all. They will brown on you though. Just follow the directions for the amount of heat each one can accept. I have the silpat, the texas muffin cups, the regu muffins cups, the loaf pan and the bundt cake and all have been awesome..
Thanks for the tips! Here is another question? Do I need to put any of them on a metal baking sheet first?

I do not. If it makes you feel better about doing it then go right ahead, lol. I do have to stick my texas muffin cups in something because when they get heated they want to fall open. We had nice muffin mix in the bottom of the stove and I said never again.
I always use a cookie sheet with mine, otherwise it's hard to handle getting in and out of the oven. I have never sprayed mine, but I have used the cupcake liners for cupcakes. I've never had any damage to mine from the heat.
Silicone - High temp plastic, suitable for several hundred degrees
I find that the muffin pan needs something under it as it is super hard to get out of the stove without everything falling out.
I don't spray my stuff as silicone is non-stick.
However, I have stopped using my set as it started to smell and the food tasted funny to me. Not sure if the silicone was breaking down or just my imagination.
i love mine! however i do spray as i found they come out of the pan a lot easier... i use the muffin pan and the square cake pan. i want more!
We have the bread pan and spray it. It does end up in a slightly deformed loaf as the sides bulge out when you pour in the batter.

I bought a set from QVC and like it a lot. I have to use a metal cookie sheet under the silicone cookie sheet otherwise it is too hard to handle. I also rinse them really well before putting in the dishwasher or else they tend to not come clean.
