HHH - Help request for Lovethosebargins

Hi everyone

Some of you may have seen my post a few days ago about the situation that my best friend Sara is going through. And some of the members asked in that thread how they could help. I replied saying that I would ask her if she was willing to accept help from our wonderful community. After much consideration she said that she would be willing to receive any help and she will pay it back to someone in need when her situation is better.

A bit of the back story...Sara and I have been best friends since we were 12, she even dated my brother...so we could have been sisters, but she is my sister in my heart. She is married to Bryant and together they have 3 children. Kyle is 13 and was born at 25 weeks gestation and has numerous health problems. He was doing pretty good there for a while however after receiving a flu shot 2 years ago he contracted/developed Guillain–Barré syndrome and now cannot walk without much assistance. Allie is 12 years old and Abbie is 10. Both are delightful young ladies and talented musicians.

Bryant, Sara's husband has worked in the restaurant business since he was 15 years old, starting at the bottom at Pizza Hut and working his way up till he was a regional manager. About 3 years ago the franchise he was working at for Pizza Hut was sold and he lost his job. He soon found new employment at Crystals in TN and the family relocated there about a year ago. About 6 months ago he lost that job for reasons beyond his control and the family has been pulling in the reigns tight to keep going on till he could find a new job. However like many out there, there have been no job prospects and the family could no longer pay their rent. Sara, who has MS, was working 2 part time jobs, one at a country club and the other as a front desk clerk at an apartment complex. However the country club has closed for the season so she is out there looking for another job (she is praying for something with medical benefits). The family could no longer afford the rent on their house and moved into a garage of a family member over the Thanksgiving weekend. The garage is obviously not meant for a family of 5 to live in and it is cold and wet and they pee in a trash can and go inside the main house to poop, cook and shower. This is not ideal and it is breaking my heart. On the bright side Sara told me yesterday that they were able to secure a space heater so that maybe they will all sleep better at night not being so cold.

Sara is a couponer (better than me, I swear she can really work those deals) and is a member here at HCW. Her user name is Lovethosebargains. However due to her MS being on the computer screen for long periods of time strains her eyes.

As far as help from the Hotcouponworld community goes she can use money (you can send PayPal or RME or a check or whatever you have to give, contact me on where to send). She can also use coupons that would net her free or very cheap items. She does not have room to stockpile, but if she can get food for free she will. She is located in TN and I am not sure what stores she has except for Publix, CVS and Walmart, Kmart, Walgreens...she talks about deals there but I am sure there are other stores in that area too....the only food restriction they have is they do not eat pork or shellfish due to religious reasons.

She also needs a coat. She is womans size large if anyone has a coat to spare. The kids could use age appropriate gifts for teens/tweens. I can get sizes from her if requested. This has been hard on the kids, they are good kids and understand what is going on but it is still hard.

I also worry about them keeping warm at night. I don't know how cold it gets down in TN but if anyone can send blankets I think they could use them.

Also I know that we have members in TN...so if anyone knows of any job opportunities in the Chattanooga area feel free to pass them along or really they are willing to move anywhere Bryant can get a job. He is a good worker with a very strong work ethic who worked at Pizza Hut for 30+ years and while it is hard to take a job not in management he has applied for burger flipping jobs but he is overqualified...if you know of any job prospects I think that would be the best gift ever!

I know that times are rough for many of our HCW members and understand if you have nothing that you can send. However your prayers, good thoughts or if you just want to send a card of encouragement, anything would be appreciated. Sara the best kind of friend you could ever have on your side and a very kind and generous person. And I know that when things are better for her she will re-pay the kindness.

Just wanted to give this a bump, and to let her and her family know she is in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry I couldn't do more to help but I know that our great community will be able to pull something together!
