HHH: cc11395 Needs items to put in Gift Baskets for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit families for the Holidays

Hey everyone!

Hotcouponworld member cc11395has a great reach out that she does at the Holidays in that she makes nice gift baskets to give to the families that have children in the NICU at her local her local hospitals.

I think that is a really great thing she does. I know myself I knit little baby hats for the babies at our local hospital and the families really appreciate the kindness.

So to help with these gift baskets cc11395 is looking to our couponing community for help because she knows that a lot of you guys can get some great deals on these items! This is the list of items she is looking for:

• Mints
• Gum
• Candy (Individually wrapped pieces work best)
• Antibacterial Hand Soap
• Antibacterial Hand Wipes
• Antibacterial Gel (e.g. Purell)
• Antibacterial Dish Liquid
• "Baby" Laundry Detergent
• Children's Books
• Homemade Blankets (Throw, Baby, Lap, Crib)
• Homemade Hats, Booties, Scarves (Children, Baby)
• Gift Cards (e.g. Starbucks, Target, Walmart)
• Homemade Cards
• Small Stuffed Animals
• Ribbon
• "Baskets" (Bags, Boxes, etc. - Holders!)
• Yarn (for Volunteers to make hats, etc.)
• Flannel (for Volunteers to make blankets)
• Unrefrigerated "quick" dinner items
• Snacks (e.g. Cookies, Crackers, Fruit Snacks, Juice Boxes...kid-friendly for siblings)
• Preemie Clothing
• Preemie/Newborn Diapers
• Travel Mugs
• Water Pitchers/Filters
• Christmas Ornament
• Stockings
• "Necessities" - Antibacterial Cleansers, Baby Wipes, Deodorent, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Bottle Brushes, Combs, Brushes, Shampoo, Razers...anything you would need to stay overnight in the hospital.

Donations in the form of money will be used to buy anything that isn't donated along with helping with the expense of travelling throughout the Greater Puget Sound to deliver baskets to NICUs and anyone donating money can be provided a list of what their funds went to. Generic gift cards (e.g. Target, Walmart) will be used to buy items unless otherwise specific (e.g. - Please put this in a basket for a family). Speciality gift cards (e.g. Starbucks) will be used in the baskets.

I would love so much to donate to this cause as I was in this position this time last year (My daughter was born 9 weeks premature after going into labor at THANKSGIVING DINNER.) When do you need the items? I have things in my stockpile (as well as some gently used girl preemie clothes if that is acceptable) but currently lack any funds to ship them. This is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart though and I have a friend who was in a similar situation. If we have another week or so perhaps she could come up with the shipping costs and we could make a joint donation. PLMK when you need the goodies.

I am going to bump this for one last time. I have contacted this year's recipient hospitals and will delivering the "Adopt a NICU Family" baskets at the end of next week!
