I have to admit it - I am a firm believer in having life insurance, particularly, I think it's important as the SAHM or lower wage earner to also have coverage. Many times, the working spouse or higher earning spouse has better life coverage and the other partner has none.
Recently, my BIL had a massive stroke - no extra coverage of any kind. And with kids, if something happened to you and your working spouse now has to figure in daycare, how would that affect your family?
So, DH and I have lots of insurance but I know many families don't have that. I think a good use of your couponing savings is to pick up a small policy for you.
As part of our HHH threads, here's a link for a free quote - simply put in your name, age, state, and if you're a smoker or not and it will pop up some various coverage quotes. It's simple, takes less than a minute, and it's good info to start a conversation in your house about adequate coverage. And using our link supports our HHH forum.
