    Default Run in with some very angry CSRs

    Just a rant about how ghastly some CSR are if you use coupons. The store I shop at doubles upto 5 coupons if you spend 25$ (before coupons). I was very careful that my total was much more that -somewhere in mid 30s.
    They had a promo where you buy 10$ worth of chlorox products you get 3$ back on your next shopping trip. So I bought 4 items not realizing that one which was B2G1 would screw up the total. So when I realized that I had calculated the amount wrong ( and so the 3$ did not print) I asked if I could return and rebuy with one more container and that would take me to the amount I needed-she refused-so I returned the 3 containers. I used NO coupons on that one. The csr was not excited about that but did it grudgingly.

    Then when i was in the car I realized that the cashier had accidentally rung up something with my groceries that I must have been on the belt in front of me, from another persons purchases. I had seen it when i was packing my groceries and had given to the cashier because I thought that that woman had left it behind.

    So back to the store I went to return it and boy the CSR ladies went ballistic -accused me of gaming the system and cheating the store and all kinds of rubbish. It really upset me because even after I returned those 3 things my total was well above 25$ and I could have still doubled coupons at that point! They told me I couldn't return anymore-like i really was returning stuff for the sake of returning things!

    I tried explain that to them that and they said -We are done-we are not talking to you anymore. WOW Yes it did seem like i was returning alot-and the first could have been my fault-but seriously if I did not use a coupon on that nor did my total ever drop under the 25$ and I offered to return and rebuy and SHE refused! I thought that was just a way way over reaction! It really put a damper on my day

    It always surprises me how many people are in the customer service industry that shouldn't be. There are many people in the world that have sunny dispositions and are readily helpful. These are the people that should work in the CS industry. If you're not a people person, there are many jobs that require no, or very little, contact with customers. You should def. let the management know about the way you were treated.

    I would have went to the cashier that I had handed that item back to and told her that she charged me for it..then she could have got the perosn over there and told them what happen...............

    I would call and report that store if it was me. You have the right to return anything that you want as long as it has not been used/ate on.. I dont know why they would not let you return all items that make no sense to me at all.

    Thank you guys-I left the store feeling so horrible! I think it was just their attitude-there was no justifiable reason for them to fly off the handle like that! She saw that I had coupons on my receipt and went nuts. And the most ridiculous part of that was I had just 5 for a 35$ bill! I won't be going back there anytime soon!

    a call to the manager or district manager would be appropriate. there is absolutely nothing wrong with returning an item.

    Just a quick update. I emailed CS at their headquarters and i got a very nice email from the manager stating that he was sorry and that behavior was uncalled for as well. He would talk with the CSR and he offered me a $10 gift card. However he said he was leaving it at customer service for me to pick up. LOL umm no I am so done seeing those ladies. I really am not going back there.

    I think it is the PERFECT opportunity for you to go back to the store! I'd be like "Hi! The manager left a gift card for me. He felt sooooo bad about the way I was treated last time I was in here that he wanted to do something nice for me! I thought that was just so great of him to do that. What terrific customer service!!" (and I would say all that with the biggest smile and in the sweetest voice) I pretty much guarantee you they'd bend over backwards to be nice to you at that point!

    Oh, and if by some chance they were still acting ugly, I'd say "gosh, I hope I don't have to call him about this AGAIN...he'd probably get pretty upset"

    yup what she said. go and pick that giftcard up. Sometimes people need to be reminded that certain behavior is not acceptable. and if bad behavior is given, the boss will be contacted.

    i doubt you will have any other issues at that store.

    I would pick the card up when she was working just to rub it in but hey that's just me being me lol.
