It always surprises me how many people are in the customer service industry that shouldn't be. There are many people in the world that have sunny dispositions and are readily helpful. These are the people that should work in the CS industry. If you're not a people person, there are many jobs that require no, or very little, contact with customers. You should def. let the management know about the way you were treated.

I'd be like "Hi! The manager left a gift card for me. He felt sooooo bad about the way I was treated last time I was in here that he wanted to do something nice for me! I thought that was just so great of him to do that. What terrific customer service!!" (and I would say all that with the biggest smile and in the sweetest voice) I pretty much guarantee you they'd bend over backwards to be nice to you at that point!
