Have you homeschooled your children? Yes #1 temporarily #2 Yes not by choice

Would you if you could? N/A

Do you think it makes kids less able to handle social situations? #1 not an issue she has been in school most of her school life. #2 has had little social situations outside of his siblings and has NO IDEA how to be around other children...which is why we were not planning on home schooling. Unfortantely the jack wad school district gave us little choice in the matter.

Do you think homeschooled kids miss out on "life"? Some do, some don't.

Have you homeschooled your children? No

Would you if you could? No. My kids are in a wondeful school distict. I know they would not like to be homeschooled. They are both very involved with extracurricular activities and sports in school.

Do you think it makes kids less able to handle social situations? Depends. I only personally know 2 families who have homeschooled. One family decided to send their kids to a public school when the kids were high school age. They had a hard time adjusting. The other family still home schools and as far as I know they are doing fine. Homeschooling is just not a big thing around here.

Do you think homeschooled kids miss out on "life"? Again, it depends on the parents and the kids.

Do you think it makes kids less able to handle social situations? We have a number of children in our area who are homeschooled and I am not impressed. Education seems to be below par and they are loners.

Do you think homeschooled kids miss out on "life"? No, but is a more isolated life.I'm sure this is not true of all kids but true of most of the ones I know.

Have you homeschooled your children? No, they are not old enough and when they are they'll being going to public school.

Would you if you could? I do not have a patience for schooling my children but it worries me what children are learning and not learning in school.

Do you think it makes kids less able to handle social situations? Depends on the child's disposition and the parent's.

Do you think homeschooled kids miss out on "life"? I think this largely depends on the parents

I only know one family in our area that homeschools (6 kids under 9 years old) and they are the best behaved children I have ever met but they are still able to be kids.

Have you homeschooled your children? We do some preschool with DS currently

Would you if you could? We are going to homeschool both of our kids

Do you think it makes kids less able to handle social situations? No, I think that handling social situations doesn't really have anything to do with public vs private vs homeschooling

Do you think homeschooled kids miss out on "life"? Absolutely not. I think they have more opportunities to experience things because they aren't in a classroom for 8 hrs a day learning from a book.

Have you homeschooled your children? No

Would you if you could? Yes, if been contemplating it for a while. I just don't know where to start and Ive heard its so hard, especially in NY state. They are so darn nosey and need a darn booklet of information for you to even start....

Do you think it makes kids less able to handle social situations? No, as long as you get them into socia situations while homeschooling.

Do you think homeschooled kids miss out on "life"? Not at all, i actually think they have more of a life. If you homeschool and have he funds to do so you can go on so many more field trips and road trips.
