Weeeeeelllll, it was my MIL and her then-husband - he went out and picked out a bottle of expensive perfume he thought she would like (some kind of Chanel). He gave it to her and she unwrapped it, looked at it, looked at him (he was smiling and looking pleased with himself for picking out a nice gift as he was normally one of those guys who is a bomb in the gift dept - lol) and yelled "what, was the salesgirl wearing it? and you thought she was cute so you bought what she had on???"
He turned bright red and started stammering about how he picked that out especially for her. She just kept complaining and the rest of us sat there with our mouths hanging open not knowing what to say!
As I said, he was her husband then but isn't any longer.
Okay, we can all go back to talking about how much we hate "that show" and how sick we are of people thinking they're entitled.![]()

Coupons are actually a marketing gimmick, more than anything else. The coupon discount is often built into the final price of the product.
Realizing this should make people more wary of using coupons. (For example, don't buy something you don't really need, just because you have a coupon for it.)
I don't think companies owe anyone coupons or sales, but its unlikely I'll do business with someone whose prices are too high.
Hey, I can top your story. Although people might think I am making it up, but I'm not.
I actually had a friend who got MAD at me because she did not like the Christmas card I sent her in the mail. She said it was a generic "cheap" card from a boxed set, and that I should be sending her only Hallmark cards.
It was very hurtful at the time, but I learned an important lesson from it. I am now careful about who I send cards to at Christmas. And, with the price of postage going up all the time, I am only going to mail cards this year to close relatives, who I know will appreciate receiving them. About 5 people or so. My mother always places my Christmas card on her mantel every year. My elderly grandfather also enjoys getting my cards, since he's very old and lives alone now.
