Re: Grrrrr... Ebay!!!
OP, can you post the link for what you bought here?
I haven't had any mistakes in all the coupons I have bought off Ebay. The only time I've had different coupons were when they sent bonus coupons for something different in addition to what I bought.
A couple of times I was surprised when I got something because I thought it was different than what I bought but each time I went back to the listing and the appropriate info was there - I just over looked it. That's easy to do too.
Here's what I feel badly about - the sellers - they are so dependent on FB to be that they practically grovel for good FB and there are people that take advantage of this - the liars that say they didn't get their coupons or they were wrong, etc. and the seller feels they have to refund them to make them happy and sometimes the buyer STILL leaves bad FB. In other words I feel the sellers are almost held hostage by the buyer and their willingness (or lack of it) to leave positive FB.
A few months ago I bought 4-5 cookbooks. They were Southern Living cookbooks which are large and heavy. When they arrived they were in the shredded remains of an ENVELOPE - one of the big brown ones, not a box. I couldn't believe they were all still in there because there were large gaping holes in the paper and the books were hanging out. I wrote the seller and told her I couldn't believe she would ship those big heavy books in an envelope. That's all I said - and it was in a message - not her FB. She sent me back a long apologetic note and immediately refunded my money!!! I wrote again and told her that was not necessary, I still purchased the books and they were fine so I did a reversal on the refund. She already had good FB or I wouldn't have bought from her but she was so afraid of having it messed up that she was willing to lose about $25.
I also don't think it's right that sellers can only leave positive FB for buyers.
Nope, I am not a seller either. I know there are lots of crummy sellers, just like there are crummy buyers but I think the buyers have the big advantage on Ebay.
P.S. Has anyone else noticed that Ebates does not have Ebay in its listings anymore? It says they are "closed til October" and I don't know what's going on.
