Funstuff Are you the only person in your house...

that knows how to operate the toilet paper holder?
    Or the recipe for ice?
Or where the paper towels are stored?

Maybe I'm burned out on being a stay at home mom! My husband got the giggles yesterday because in a year and a half, he has NEVER used our washer or dryer! I'm totally OCD about the laundry and the dishwasher, so I'm not surprised! I am used to the big messes, but the little things just make me . What's your household pet peeve?

Shoot! My dh hasn't used the washer/dryer in 11 years...

I am the only one who can:

put dirty dishes in the sink or dish washer
put dirty clothes in the laundry room, fold clean clothes & put the away
make new ice (because obviously it's very time consuming & hard to do)
realize the garbage can is full

Gosh, I could have a whole big list of crap that only "I" know how to do. The kids I give a little slack to, but dh really ought to know better. He assumes that since he has a "real" job & I'm just a stay at home mom, that all the household chores should be mine-but that's another vent.

I knew I wasn't alone! Apparently I am the only one who can put away laundry and get dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

LOL we had a big lonnnnng discussion about the toilet paper roller not too long ago here on HCW.

Another pet peeve, after I insist you take the trash out .... the job isn't finished until you put a new bag in the can.

My DH has gotten into the habit of leaving his clothes on the bathroom floor beside the hamper. Go figure! The other day, he asked me when I was going to do laundry because he needed clean undies. Well, I told him that I had done the laundry but that I only wash what is in the hampers not what's in the floor because I wasn't his maid. So, he picked them up for me and I washed them but guess what ???? he is gonna run out of undies again this week because his mom doesn't live here!!!! LOL He will learn :)
Please Help me save on the things I need here!
if you can say a prayer for my family!

My DH pulls out a new roll of TP and places it on the counter. He likes it there, even if there is a brand new roll on TP holder. Then he leaves it there, for my children to dump right into the toilet.

It drives me up the wall.

some day in my happy world...we will have separate bathrooms where he can have stacks of TP to his hearts delight and I'll never have to walk in and see them ever ever again.

oh also for my husband it's throwing away the dirty paper towel. He just leaves it on the counter!!!!!

My sister lives with us and it drives her crazy!!! This is how I judge when I know I'm not just whining...but yes he's being annoying...is if it drives my sister up the wall too... LOL.

Funny thing is, he has no issue getting TP out, or PT out, or taking the garbage out, or putting the garbage liner in or even doing the dishes....but he will wipe up something nasty with a paper towel and just leave it on the counter!!!

and I used to just use regular dish towels, but he would wipe up something like milk with them, and then just hang them back up, so I had to completely stop using them.....the man has no sense.

Dh gets a roll out & sets it on the edge of the tub. Half of the time it gets knocked into the tub & ends up soaking up water.

My ex-husband liked toast. He would take it straight from the toaster and lay it on the counter (no plate or papertowel). He buttered and jellied his toast and put the knife on the counter also. He then proceeded to pick up and eat his toast as he was walking through the house. When I mentioned the crumbs and sticky mess on the counter (forget the trail of crumbs in his wake) he took his hand, swiped the toast crumbs on the floor and said "There, it's clean." He obviously was raised by wolves. Notice... I said he is my ex-husband.
