Tank tops are my godsend - I just ordered a bunch of them super cheap online. Keeps the girls from falling out and keep my waist and butt covered.

Aren't a majority of women plus-size? Why are designers not selling to us, instead of all nine of the toothpicks in Manhattan and California that can still wear their clothes?

FYI - I got this dress from woman within and it is AWESOME...it's tshirt material and so so so so comfy. I wear it to church and dress it up with scarf or jewelry, and I also wear it out shopping or to eat with flipflops. I'm going to go back and get the other two colors also. I just have to wear something under it due to the crossover top.

Torrid??? I call it horrid. Unless you're 20 and into the club scene, you probably won't find anything there. For affordable and fashionable clothes, try The Avenue. I find their prices are so reasonable that I don't mind buying something trendy that I may only wear one or two years. Shirts are definately long enough, watch the sleeves though, some are good and some are not. Hope this helps. Just trying to keep everyone out of character shirts. Bad bad bad.

The other thing I hate is the fact that since we are obviously a few inches wider around, they just move the pattern over a few inches and cut the fabric, but then the neck hole is so big that the shirt practically hangs off your shoulder. UGH! I cannot buy shirts at Kohl's because they are too too short for me and Wal-Mart is prety much the same. I do like Catherine's (related to Lane Bryant) because I can find long shirts, but I still get the neck issue no matter where I buy.

I have a hard time with that too, I have narrow shoulders and it's really hard for me to keep things on them. I have to special order my bra's because I finally found a brand that would stay up on my puny little shoulders.

I think that is what ticked me so much about the dang Eeyore shirt. It has this cool pattern fabric...I pull it out...and then of course I see the dumb Eeyore pic on it...grrrrrrrr

I love the looks of their stuff but I know it wouldn't look good on me.

I do like Trendy plus size clothing, plus size dresses, junior plus | alight.com But there again you do have to check the lengths on stuff. Some it is short. I have gotten some nice tunics there though. But a lot of it is hand wash so that's a drag.

Oh I dunno. I'm 40 and not one to dress "trendy" or club, but I found some cute stuff and I haven't got past the clearance page. To each her own I guess...some plus sized ladies might actually like the Eeyore shirts (for the record, I'm not one of them )

    Thanks for the link .

I was just complaining to my hubby the other day about Khols. I can't really complain, because my MIL gives me her Khols cash (she lives outside the U.S. and can't use it, and she buys so much when she is here that I usually end up w/ $100 in Khols cash ), so that's what I usually use to outfit myself, since I'm home and only need casual clothes. I just hate walking in the store and seeing all the cute stuff, then shlepping my fat arse back to the plus dept, and buying the same dang Sonoma solid colored v-neck Tee's and khaki capri's that I have been buying for yeeeaarrssss there . There is nothing ever new, it's either my khaki and tee's uniform or old lady elastic waist pants...... I sooo want to lose weight, if for no other reason than I can wear something different...........
