Century link sucks! So we tried to switch to century link. We got the router in the mail the day after it was scheduled to arrive. And well installed it proper and no internet. called them up, they said that our area hadnt been serviced yet. They told me day after day it would be the following day or later that day and well we still have no internet. They guaranteed today but not a time but guaranteed today! But then hubbs called back on the hour every hour and then they changed it to monday. Evidently 30 min storms knock out internet for days with their company! So after a week we told them to cancel and they will be out to pick up their router. Its 15 bucks more with time warnet but at least its guaranteed internet! I did no enjoy going to the library with only an hour time limit to do school tests! They obviously dont care about new customers etc. SO yeah if you are going to century link dont bother!
Re: Century link sucks! Our office has them for all services. We have lost total internet service 4+ days the past year. On those days, we had to shut down the office. We are NEVER to shut down office so each time I had to go to upper channels of management from home to cover our arses. I truly dislike them too!
Re: Century link sucks! i dont know how they stay in business if a 30 minute storm knocks it out and puts them a week behind! THey had no problem with us canceling a service we hadnt yet gotten either! Basically that is the only choice other then time warner around here. And well our internet has never been knocked out with time warner! After a week waiting for century link to even start our service it never happened!
Re: Century link sucks! We have Qwest too. This is not going to be good. I run a business out of my home and I need to have internet working at all times so I can check emails that could come in with orders or questions about my products. I was afraid when I heard that Qwest was being bought out, it wasn't going to be good.
Re: Century link sucks! I wonder if there is anyone that has century link at all. That loves it. Im suprised they didnt try and have us keep the service. They were like ok we will send someone out to pick up our equipment. The entire time we had no internet not one person from century link came out at all. I see their vans all over the place too. At least with time warner someone comes out all the time if we have an issue or installing equipment. Still waiting on century link to pick up their router. I know one day we called to see when it would be setup and they said another area of nc had an outage to last hours due to a storm. Which mostly what it did the past week was rain and thundered for a total of 30 minutes. No kidding. That is all it did. But maybe thats the 30 min in the day they actually do any sort of work! Im tempted to google to see if there are any reviews out for century link.
Re: Century link sucks! We USED to have Centery Link for our internet and home phone. We had no choice because DSL was not an option when we moved here. Our phone and internet were always having problems! I was so glad when Suddenlink came out here! We have had no problems that are not fixed with one quick call.

Sounds like it's time to look for a new internet provider.
