At the grocery store today someone stole my coupon binder including ALL YES ALL my coupons . I turned my head for one minute and its gone . I have been couponing my whole life and never heard of anything like this before. I am very upset and heart broken . I cannot believe someone would actually do this to anyone . Actually stealing.

That's horrible! After having worked in a store, I know you can not turn your back on your cart for any reason if there are valuables in it. I have not seen coupons get stolen but I have seen plenty of purses and wallets.

I was just hearing the other day about binders being stolen, so I got one of those carabiner clips. Now I make sure to hook the binder to the cart. I'm not used to it yet, so it's a real pain, but I'm afraid it's become necessary.

thieves think it is a purse.

pick a cart that has the baby seatbelt in it. clip your binder and purse to it (thru the straps to help secure it). this way if someone walks by and trys to grab it real quick the strap will at least pull enough to make a noise and get you to turn around and deter the thief.

never turn your back on your cart. if you have to, take your purse and binder out of the car and with you to grab your item.

and i am sorry that this happened. did you report it to the police? i say this because more than likely they are having a rash of them. we were having alot in my area one christmas. bump and grabs at the doors of stores. they bump you and then grab your items and run. the police can also request any video tape the stores might have (if any).

anytime this happens, check the garbage cans as you leave the store. and then the ones in the parking lot and the neighboring lots. or even behind the store. most are looking for cash and will dump the rest.
