OMG!! Really!?

OKay so I go to the store which is about 15 minutes away I buy 6 papers and I only get 3 SS I dont get the PG or the RP.... I mean really if I buy a paper it better have coupons in it thats the only reason y i buy the sunday paper.... I didnt get any good coupons at all... It irritates me that poeple think they can just grab inserts out of the other papers and not leave any for anyone else....... Should I contact the paper company and report that store or not? Would it really do any good? I feel better now that I vented.. LOL

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of coupons in the papers you buy from stores. Subscribers get them first, and if they run out, then the stores don't get any. If someone stole them, then you're still out of luck. You can call the paper or the store, but I really don't think there's anything you can except check the papers before you leave the store.

I would call the paper and complain. If you buy the paper you should get the whole thing not the parts they want to include. It's worth a shot.

I now subscribe to get my 4 papers delivered but back when I would buy them from the store, I would check each paper for all my inserts before buying. In the SAME stack of say 10, I would say half are missing all or some inserts!!!

I know there isnt any guarantee of coupons, you get what u get but i figured since I bought 6 papers there would be some in there, Didnt expect someone to take ALL the coupons....

I'm sorry some of the papers you bought didn't have inserts in them, but Please don't be accusing someone of something that you have no proof of.

I agree with Amylynne01, there is no guarantee when you buy a paper that the inserts will be in there. Trust me I know. I get my inserts from a guy who delivers to a few small stores and if they get shorted guess what? its the stores papers that get shorted not the home delivery. I know, I have had many many store papers and have had no inserts in them. So please don't put the blame on someone stealing them.

Most stores have their stacks of papers right in front buy the check out lanes and it is not that easy to pull the inserts out without being noticed.

I've had it happen to me too... I called the paper and they sent me vouchers for the number of papers I had bought that didn't have the coupons in them.. They sent me enough to get 4 papers free. It didn't help me since it was a rockin weekend for coupon inserts but atleast I could buy more the next week. And now I check the papers out and turn the plastic over to make sure no one has opened it and just grabbed the coupons and left the rest.

That just stinks!!!! You can also call the store and tell them just in case the carrier didn't put them in???

That stinks! Well, I would just take a quick minute or two and make sure the coupons are in there. I once bought several papers on a non-coupon weekend (back when I was newbie). Luckily, I checked out in the parking lot and realized this and the store let me return them. So I always tell my newbies to check before buying.

I stand there and very obviously flip through the paper(s) to make sure everything is in there that I want (coupons, ads, TV guide). If things are missing, I put it back and flip through another one. Not doing anything wrong, as I'm buying the paper(s) that have everything. What are they going to do? Take away my birthday? I'm old and scary looking, so not many people say anything to me. lol

I make it obvious, so it doesn't look like I'm trying to be sneaky and draw attention. If you're buying them anyway, no need to be embarassed or nervous about it. You want what you're paying for.
