This has been an issue for us for a long time in our house. I've always dressed pretty conservatively....my SIL is another story. Years ago, when DD was 3 or 4 she bought her a Brats doll for her b-day. I don't think I hid my disapproval too well-that doll really looked like-well, I can't even say it here...luckily DD, who's now 10, is likes the clothes I buy. I wonder how long that lasts-but I agree, my job is not to be her friend, it's to be her MOTHER!
