My $40 Rebate for My Contacts was Denied

I am going back and forth with Coopervision over a $40 rebate on my contact lenses I purchased on 1/7/11! The rebate needed to be postmarked within 60 days of purchase. I mailed on March 5 at my main post office and had three people see me put it in the box. Coopervision is claiming it was postmarked 3/12. I have asked to see a scan of the envelope postmark but they say they are not allowed to return anything. I have not asked for it to be returned - just want proof of their claim that it didn't meet the deadline. I told them I was certain of the date and I expect to be paid - we'll see where this goes. I am like a dog on a bone - I am not giving up on this one! This is absolutely fraudulent!

If you purchased the contacts at an actual office (not on-line) try contacting the office and asking them to contact their Coopervision rep for you. Perhaps the rep can intervene on your behalf.

I finally got my rebate today! After MULTIPLE emails back and forth they finally paid it. I am absolutely sure they lied on the postmark date to deny the rebate. They figure there is a portion of people who will not fight them on it. Beware - they are scammers! I am letting my eye doctor know what went on with them the next time I go in.
