Re: Truvia - I hate you!
PS - It's funny on the salt thing as my mother used tons of it (still does) and I prefer using very little. So my husband says the same thing about me never being at risk of over seasoning anything lol. I like my food a little on the bland side, i suppose. ;)

Re: Truvia - I hate you!
I use Truvia all the time in my iced tea and have no problems with it. I like it, no, it's not all that sweet if that's what you're used to. I find that with Truvia that I use a lot less of it than I did with Equal.

Re: Truvia - I hate you!
I didn't find the taste too bad either, and I really liked that table top sugar bowl type jar. So I'm actually pretty bummed out. I finally took an anxiety pill and am at least feeling a little bit better finallly. And not worried that I am having a heart attack or intestinal blockage or something lol. Oy!

Re: Truvia - I hate you!
Erithrytol gives me explosive, rocket off the john kind of gas. Sorry, TMI I know! But you couldn't pay me to eat that stuff ever again!!!
Stevia is OK but too sweet for me. The best thing is to try to wean yourself off of the sugar/sweet tastes as much as possible and you won't miss it after a while.

Re: Truvia - I hate you!
Thank you, Bazzy!! I knew I couldn't be the only one lol. So the Truvia has been shelved since this thread and I am feeling MUCH better. So no more of that for me. While at the grocery store I actually found some agave in with the maple syrups for $2.99 so I grabbed one of those. I don't know if you have the same low calorie business with it as aspartame or truvia, but it is low glycemic and that is more what I'm after.
PS - I've used other brands of stevia and had no problems with it, so I'm guessing it is the erithrytol in the jarred truvia that gave me the trouble. Live and learn!

"don't know if it has the same low calorie" not you. Not really sure why I can't edit my posts on this thread, but...
