Hey! I don't have the New England Attidtude lol! Do they consider people in NY to be part of New England?
I here ya on the face book thing. I see how rude people are and I just don't disclose a lot of info to them.
If you want to you can just delete the rude girl from your fb friends list and put up settings where only people you are friends with can view your page.

Naw, I think NY along with PA are considered mid-Atlantic states

I'll definitely own that I was pissy, because I'm sick to death of being looked down upon and getting made fun of because I can string two words together. I just don't get the point of her turning my comment about a sweet picture of two little girls playing dress up, into a way to make fun of me. I didn't leave it alone because I'm tired of it and I'm standing up for myself. The useless terms is what really ticked me of. She infers all the time that I do nothing because I'm a SAHM and she has it soooo much harder because she's a single working mom. Well guess what? I don't have anyone picking my kid up left and right, keeping them for the WHOLE WEEKEND, taking them on vacation...and this is not the dads I'm talking about. We're always buying them stuff, supplying them with what they need....I have my kid 24/7..I would kill to get 8 hours to go to work. I'm NOT USELESS....

people like that can only be handled in one way...when they say something nice in person just say "that isnt very nice" and walk away...on facebook the same thing is called "delete".

i have a facebook page for friends that i never post anything about me on it....i have another facebook just for coupons.

I am from NY....I am not a reader....I have 3 boys (so fairies aren't something they talk about) however I did know what a wood sprite was. And if I had a picture as reference that would have made it even easier!

I don't like how just because someone tags LOL, LMAO, or ROTF (is that right?) makes it a joke or humorous. She was being sarcastic, and sarcasm is saying something you REALLY mean, making it sound like a joke but deep down the person saying it MEANS what they say. I know, I am very sarcastic (um, from NY!) and I was called out once when I was 19 and I have to say I felt bad-not that that has stopped me-but moving to NC has made me cut WAY back (I keep it in house now).

On facebook for some reason I am friends with a lot of teens (though my kids don't even post!)...some are just so much DRAMA and thrive off of drama. I can't stand it, but I just read and think "Idiot" or "Drama Queen" or honestly feel sorry for them sometimes. I actually unfriended one because I couldn't stand how she was constantly trying to pick a fight on facebook the last straw was when she called one out on FB for not responding to her text! Give me a break. Though she is just like her mom. I have found in my life that those that I used to associate with in the past are not people I want associate with now. I went a different direction when I moved to NC than they did, they stayed in the same old classless rut.

ON facebook I do a lot more reading than posting. I do agree she doing it on your daughters picture was really uncalled for.

Maybe it's a regional thing then, because on the west coast, wood sprite is used a lot. To the point where even kids/teens know what the term means. I was as shocked as the OP that the other person didn't know what it meant and figured the OP made up the term.

I'm more amazed that no one is shocked by the flippant way people toss around f*g - it's as derogatory as using n*igg*r, yet people treat it like saying happy birthday.

The minute I discover a friend is knowingly using f*g, they stop being my friend, I don't need any more "discussion" with them. It's a hateful word.

Whenever I feel like what someone writes on my FB page is snooty or rude, I just delete their comment. If you put your mouse over what they wrote on your page, you will see a little X in the right corner. Click on that and it will ask you if you want to delete the message and that way other people don't see it and it is out of my sight and out of my mind.

Some people feel so bad about themselves the only way they make themselves feel better is putting down others.

I would just put her on hide. I can't be bothered with multiple fb accounts, I can barely keep up with my multiple email accounts. And multiple personalities.

If someone annoys me, they go on hide. Since she commented on your photo, hide wouldn't have helped in this situation, so I'd just ignore what's out there and move on.

I don't know about you guys, (and I do know what a wood sprite is) but if someone used a term that I didn't know, I'd go look it up at answers.com cuz I'd feel too stupid to ask "What's that?"
