    Default Snow

Well let me start by saying If it does not snow I am going to be VERY MAD. I live in Virginia(Hampton Roads Area) they have been calling for snow since Sunday. Sounds great to some people. well here is the deal, they are only calling for 1 to 3 inches to start falling sometime tomorrow. So tonight about 8pm I got a phone call telling me that there is a 2 hour delay. What who makes a two hour delay/ closes school before the snow comes Really. It is going to be a long winter I think. On top of that they are calling for snow Sat night as well guess the kids will go back to school in Jan 2011

I'm in West TN. We got 2 inches of snow Sunday, I'm pretty sure they will finally go to school tomorrow. If they do, they will go 1 1/2 days before christmas break starts. then they dont go back until Jan 4.
last year, i think they missed almost everyday for about 3 weeks, i hope this year is better.

Wow, here in the suburbs of Chicago, we have to have 4-6" or severely blowing winds for lower amounts for MOST schools to close and not based on forecasts but actual snow. The Junior College needs closer to 10". I wish they would close schools, etc here at times. Good luck. That would be rough

When we lived in that area (Newport News/Ft. Eustis) they did the same thing. Closed schools for a dusting of snow. Here in Wyoming it has the snow 3+ feet for them to close schools. And if the temps are above freezing..the kids are going to play outside at recess.

At my nephews graduation, I was chatting with a family friend. They live in Southern MO. He told me if the temperature gets below 32 degrees the kids don't go outside for recess. . I couldn't believe it. I said the kids here in Iowa would NEVER get to go out for recess then. Here they go outside for recess if the temps are above 0.

I'm over west of Charlottesville and they cancelled school-it did finally start snowing about an hour ago. We are supposed to get 2-5. I hope we go tomorrow (Friday) but a two hour delay would be nice :)
